Well, at least the bridge did not pop off. I've never let a guitar out of my sight until its been strung at least a week.

That for letting us see that, sounds great Mike!

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Really great sound! It must be very satisfying to see one of your guitars being used like that. What kind of pickup did you put in the guitar?

I wonder how common it is for builders have that same fear of a bridge popping off a guitar they built during a performance. The guitars of a builder I know were featured in a demo session at one of the big guitar shows and he couldn't bear to be in the room for fear of seeing something like that go wrong. He builds great guitars though and of course the guitars performed just fine.

I take pictures continuously and post them to FB for the owners. In my photo album section. If you can't see them, and want to, just friend me. I can't figure out how to "share" photo albums like those videos. I appreciate your interest.
